FEBRUARY IS “LOVE MONTH” …LOVE IS IN THE AIR!
I love life, sharing about the goodness of God, meeting people, my special friends and experiencing fun times with those who are close to me. Besides God being “top priority” in my
life, my husband and family (two married daughters, their husbands and two little granddaughters) come next. My family brings such joy, balance and fun into everything we do together. It’s always refreshing to my soul having them around and especially when our two little granddaughters enter the door for visits with their great big smiles and outstretched arms. That’s when my world lights up like a Christmas tree! Oh, and I really enjoy neat little coffee shops and quaint little town cafes — they remind me of my Southern roots growing up in North Carolina as a girl.
I am a Southern girl through and through- born and raised in the Tarheel State of North Carolina. I am so grateful that I was raised in a little Southern town that gave me lifelong memories of what life was truly like back in the forties, fifties and sixties. Summer nights in a little town were often spent looking into the still, dark, night sky at the trillions of stars and feeling and sensing the presence of God all around. From an early teenager, I have been sensitive to God’s presence.
I fell in love with Jesus when I was a young girl but really grew spiritually after I married my wonderful husband, Dan. We’ve been married now for almost 40 years and our love for one another is sweeter than ever. Both of us had a God encounter after our first child was born and we soon discovered and knew the calling on our life was to be “full time ministry.” We have now been serving the Lord in ministry for over 33 years and it has been such a joy and fulfilling destiny for me. I’ve been a pastor’s wife for all these years and have had the opportunity to birth and lead vibrant ministries to women that have brought life, hope, encouragement and purpose to hundreds of lives. After retiring from Public School teaching, my schedule was ‘freed up” to be able to travel with Dan as needed and to minister to women in retreats, conferences, small groups or one on one.
The Lord has called me to “bring good news to the poor…to bind up the broken-hearted and proclaim freedom to the captives and release to the prisoners of darkness…to proclaim God’s favor…to bestow on them a crown of beauty…the oil of gladness and a garment of praise…so they will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.” Isaiah 61:1-3. Serving Christ with ALL my being is the hunger and desire of my heart. Watching the Lord at work in lives is awesome, powerful and humbling! His anointing is what makes the difference as lives are touched and changed forever by the power of God. I stand utterly amazed at the Goodness of God!
